  30. John might not say so, but that was him.  He was talking specifically
  31. about Windows 3.1 versus Windows NT 3.5, and he based what he said on
  32. what Brad Peebler told him.  Not to put words in his mouth, but I think
  33. he and I share some concern that NewTek isn't being as clear as they
  34. could be about things like this.

  36. Buyers should know that with the LW 4.0 "pre-release," they may be
  37. embarking on a bit of an adventure, and they should weigh carefully the
  38. sources of any information they get.  It makes a difference whether
  39. it's Stuart or JG, as opposed to any old user (me, for instance).

  41. The problem is the haste with which 4.0 was "pre-released."  NewTek's
  42. now in the position of not having nailed down some basic stuff, like
  43. how to install the program on different Windows versions (there are
  44. about 200,000 copies of Windows 95 floating around, but I doubt the
  45. installation program or any documentation will address it) and how to
  46. explain what's in the package customers receive (at least one person
  47. has reported to the newsgroup, for example, that tech support told him
  48. the Win32s libraries aren't included, which, true or false, is absurd).
